About PICHA

PICHA is a global visual storytelling platform dedicated to reshaping how the world sees Africa and its diaspora. Through powerful imagery and authentic narratives, PICHA connects brands, creators, and communities to visuals that celebrate culture, creativity, and representation.

Founded on a 50/50 revenue-share model, PICHA empowers photographers across the African continent and the global diaspora to tell their own stories — with ownership, dignity, and artistic freedom. The platform also invests directly in the creative community through the PICHA Grant Program, which provides funding, mentorship, and visibility to emerging photographers.

Weaving Stories is the first major project born from the PICHA Grant Program — a photography book that brings together the voices and visions of talented photographers from around the world.

Through intimate portraits, candid scenes, and reflective essays, Weaving Stories explores universal themes of culture, identity, belonging, and resilience. From Lagos to Salvador-Bahia, from Nairobi to Atlanta, the book weaves together narratives that transcend borders, offering a rare and honest view of the Afro-diasporic experience.

This limited-edition hardcover is more than a collection of images — it’s a global conversation about humanity, art, and representation.
